In an effort to address both peripheral and overlapping areas of any cases under investigation, a demonstrable expertise in the various facets of what have been termed "occult sciences", such as astrology, the paranormal, metaphysics, numerology, Silva methodology, and Ufology as well as what are considered the mainstream sciences are desired for complete assessment capability.

"It's true because so and so said it is." After being reported by Jorge Martin, Art Bell, Inside Edition and the New York Times, I decided there was something to investigate regarding the new creature dubbed "El Chupacabras!"

INVESTIGATING AND REPORTING
To achieve the purposes proposed by U.T.I.A., it is necessary that all core group members as well as primary level associates have a solid understanding and ability to investigate information coming to the group.
In this society, the science and art of investigation has been explored and constructed in such areas as law enforcement, judicial professionals, scientists (this includes medical, psychiatric, and sociological), and many others. While we will be dealing with new information we will also be examining previous information for the purpose of re-evaluation via new investigative understandings. Investigation will also include use of pre-existing tests as well as tests we may have to develop to answer questions not previously addressed.
This investigative philosophy is conceived to be an applied "working" construct, not merely an intellectualizing or speculative amusement. This perspective is founded from the standpoint that those who choose to adapt this philosophy know that the areas being approached for research exist. One applying the UTIA methodology has to get past the "oooo and ahhhh" phase and start working towards serious understanding and perhaps relationship developments with these areas.
All pertinent points of investigation and subsequent brainstorming analysis should be audio recorded via video camera for two purposes: To allow audio documentation for hard copy "recall" to be derived from; To have an accurate record to refer to for clarification of differences in perception during the investigation or brainstorming and to have visual documentation of experiments or actual manifestations that may occur. GATHERING DATA

The proper gathering of data is crucial. This is the point wherein ALL details need to be gathered. Accidental or purposeful loss of data can mean the difference in moving forward on a particular issue or case, tabling same, or discarding same.

Don't just consider this, practice this until it is second nature.

It's incredibly easy to fall back on old programming however, with the proper application of focus and conviction, new programming is completely possible.

I learned about interviewing a witness during my involvement in a UFO investigation.

A woman left her place of employment late this particular night. Once on the highway for a few minutes, she saw an unusual light in the night sky. She pulled her car over to the side of the road and stopped to get a better look. The light came down over her car and felt the rear of her Ford Maverick lift from the road. After a moment, she felt jarred as the rear of her car was let back down.

The story made the local newspaper (probably because she made a police report) A UFO investigator visited the woman and investigated the car. This investigator put a "radiation" button on the car and when it did not turn up anything, he proclaimed the report a hoax.

A man I was working with at the time received a call from this same woman for investigation. I drove myself and the man to the woman's home. We looked at the car. I located indentations, what appeared to be places of "attachment" points, on the lip of the back trunk and at the edge of the roof on both driver and passenger's side. Upon a very lengthy interview with the woman going over practically each moment of the incident, we discovered she had an hour of missing time.

What's the difference in the investigations?

The first investigator operated from a "set pattern." We did not.

ANALYSIS OF DATA GATHERED
Everyone involved in the investigation or brainstorming analysis is advised to do so with an audio tape recorder of some sort. This is for the purpose of everyone being able to have their own record copy of the "experimental time" (channeling, manifestations, personal energy developments, experiment developments, etc.) for personal reference later. EVERYONE is meant to voice their thoughts. We all agree that there may be times of very diverse perspectives and that this is acceptable. This is a situation of learning.
None of us knows everything and we will show total respect for our members opinions. We will also reach a mutual understanding provided we all commit to moving forward from a reasonably conservative standpoint. The areas of investigation demand that we approach our activity from this posture.

INVOLVEMENT
It is understood that we all have our regular lives to tend to. We will start out with monthly meetings lasting three to four hours each time. We've a foundation to lay for ourselves and common understandings (formerly referred to as "common sense") to establish. At this point, meetings might consist of the following:
(*NOTE: The following outline is derived from my experiences with numerous groups. This is an attempt to take the best from what I've observed and experienced and apply it for overall benefit. Other ideas are welcomed for exploration. )
MEETING PLACE
It is my thought and feeling that these meetings should take place in an environment conducive to focus and free thought as well as comfort and leaving "baggage" behind. In other words, meeting in anyone's particular home leaves room for mental or emotional hindrance of 100% focus. The meeting place is likely to be a conference room in a hotel and as centrally located to everyone as possible.
ATTENDANCE
Attendance is by core group approval only. This is not meant to be a closed meeting, however it IS designed to be a working meeting. Someone simply sitting in for reasons of curiosity or "this is my friend who expressed an interest" is insufficient. Each of us will have our recorded documentation of the meetings. Share these with those who may be interested. What we are doing is too important to allow "touring" of our work.
FORMAT
Arrival Time at designated location. We will make snacks available, however probably nothing substantial. You may wish to eat before the meeting.
Your own personal way of securing spiritual, mental and physical protection, then a group prayer for protection. You are not required to participate if not desired, however you must use something within your belief system for protection. Not protecting yourself may leave the entire group vulnerable depending on what is being worked with.
Fifteen minutes to review highlights of the sections of last meeting. In example, should there have been alien communication, case analysis and an experiment in personal ability development, fifteen minutes would be allotted for each of those items for review. We would then decide if there is progression with any of them and if we wish to dedicate time to pursuing one or all or tabling these items and moving to something else.
Body of meeting. Approximately one hour (Unless voted to go longer).
Fifteen minute break.
Review and personal recordings of body of meeting. Two monitors will be used for this; one for everyone's personal recording devices to be around for their record, and one for our review and personal notes and comments.
Securing next meeting and suggested itinerary.
Meeting adjourns.
I admit this is a personal program based on how I see things need to be done. This is a somewhat rigid format as far as keeping things moving however it does have it's latitudes. If we decide to attempt communications with "whoever" and there is nothing forthcoming, then we would move on to something else.
There are a variety of research topic to do, we may even plan "road trips" to accomplish some investigation needs. The platform from which we move and learn is flexible, however the foundation is not. As previously stated, we know certain things exist. Now let's seek to learn about them AND from them while maintaining an understanding that we approach the learning from a conservative aspect, a self protecting posture and a "no one knows it all" philosophy.
