I became aware of several items pointing to the year 2012 however my response (as I suspect was many people's response) was unsupported interest because the year was 1994. "2012? That's years from now!"

Wellllll, guess what? It's not that far away anymore. Today's date is March 09, 2006. The interpreted/calculated date based on the Mayan Calendar is said to be December 21, 2012 so we're roughly six years, nine months and "change" away. However ...

I became focused on 2012 last October, 2005, because I as I began working on a movie script concept for UTIA, I paused to consider what might be considered the most important paranormal item to write about. 2012 came to mind and I thought, "You know, I really don't know that much about it. I need to go online and do some research and then work to locate at least three other sources to either substantiate or at least lend investigative credence to information I might find. So far, I've collected 180 folders of information I put under the 2012 category.

There's a lot of repetition on the Internet. There's a lot of people putting stuff online that is their opinion, both pro and con. God Bless America for Freedom of Speech! There are people putting information online that is identified as "Channeled" (I've gotten some of the type of information myself from my friend and investigative associate Joice Owlwoman)

And, yes, there is a lot of information to be waded through and considered. I, of course, use the UTIA Investigation Matrix for my analysis of collected data.

If you are wondering where I stand on the issue of 2012, let me say this.

If everything I've gathered is crap, then there's nothing to worry about except correcting
the social ills of the current civilization (and that's monumental all by itself!).
Then again,
If ANY of the information I've collected that points to a change so vast and encompassing for all living things
on earth, and in the universe, is accurate, it's a subject that those of us who can comprehend it have a responsibility to
go after in an effort to understand and communicate to those who have the minds to "get it" to make the transition easier.
